Astronomy Summer Programs by Bangalore Astronomical Society.
Bangalore Astronomical Society as part of International Year of Astronomy 2009, will be conducting a 1 day, 2 day and 4 day Astronomy workshop for students of the age group 10-16 years.
The schedule will be put up soon on the website. ( Summer programs will be during April - may )
Astronomy Summer Program covers various topics in astronomy.
Basic of astronomy, Sky Observations, telescope working, constellations, Solar system and Universe, observational ( sun / moon ) experiments.
Participants will also learn how to use some software tools ( Stellarium) on computers. Along with lots of Classroom activities and outdoor experimental activities
We will also have some Video screening and Discussions.
