Astrophotography workshop
Originally proposed by Akarsh.. I frankly think it's a great idea.. People of the like of Dr Suresh are not just doing a great job at what they do best.. but are also inspiring people to the same..
It'd be great to have a workshop to propel potential astrophotography enthusiasts into the thick of things.. I believe a lot of people would be willing to participate and seasoned astrophotographers of the like of Dr Suresh would also be willing to help us out.
Please do post your thoughts on how we could go about it..

It is a great idea. I am sure there will be a lot of people interested! I would like to be part of this workshop.

Dr. Suresh is willing to do this sometime now - but there are two problems: 1) Sky Condition 2) He can't bring his telescope. For (2), he plans to borrow Mr. Byju's telescope. Let us see, I'll call Dr. Suresh and keep in touch.
Hi, this thread is very interesting. I too am interested in knowing about astronomy photography, it would be nice if the people who organise make a post so that ppl like me can come to know abt it.
We should take this up asap. "When i looked up at the night sky on a moonless night of may 97 and saw what i was, and felt the same too.......there it was,Hale-Bopp...sweeping the skies..."

This is a very good idea. We could invite Dr. Suresh to Bangalore and have him give a step-by-step tutorial. We can pick up bright objects and do it from the city itself.
