Filing nominations for BAS Council Positions.
As announced previously, The BAS Council will be renominated on the Oct 14th. Inorder to make this process a little easier on us, and less messier on the D-Day, We've decided to muster up a consolidated list of parties interested in this activity, well in advance. Ofcourse, This imposes no restrictions on people who'd like to file their nominations on the 14th directly, but we'd recommend you read through the procedure to submit your nomination on the internet, and do so, so that we can have things in place already.
Nominations maybe sent to b-a-s@googlegroups.com . Please not that you 'll need to be a member of this google group to send mails to it. You can join the group by going to http://groups.google.com/group/b-a-s/
The nomination-emails must contain the following details.
- Your Name
- Age, Sex
- Profession
- Period of Affiliation with BAS
- No of Hours you can spare for BAS on a monthly basis.
- Your contact details
- Any other miscellenous information.

As of friday, Oct 5th, We've 10 Nominations. Please note that the maximum count of people who will constitute our council is 11. Nominations on the Internet shall be open until the 13th of October. Notices to the nominees shall be sent out publicly on the group b-a-s@googlegroups.com. If you 've a query regarding the administrative stucture of BAS, You may leave us one using our contact form .

Here is the list as of now with whatever information I could add (hopefully everything being right), more to be added as and when, until the deadline ceases.
1) NAME : Hemant Hariyani (Male)
DOB: 7th December 1979
Currently the President.
Associated with BAS since the foundation in Aug '06.
2) NAME : Naveen L N (Male)
DOB : 30 Aug 1979
Currently the Vice-President.
Associated with BAS since it's early days.
3) NAME : Amar A. Sharma (Male)
DOB : 17 October 1984
Currently the Sky Observing Co-ordinator.
Associated with BAS since the foundation in Aug '06.

DOB: 11 May 1988
Currently the Outreach Co-ordinator. Also manages the Web-related activities.

I should say that is a wonderful response as of now! 12 members applying for nomination in the council team with still time on hand to go. We surely look forward for more dedicated and willing members to come forward as volunteers to support BAS in the 2007-2008 year to come.

I think it would be better to make a list here too, as there are replies in different threads in the BAS groups page. This would be a neat presentation of the list of nominees.
