Myself, Narasimhamurthy and Alex reached the school at about 6 pm. Mr. Mohan took us for a small walk and explained the facilities provided by the institute. The hostel, Classrooms, Playground, Auditorium every bit of it was royal !!!

Outreach @ SGIS

At 6:30 just after the sunset, I setup my telescope and explained the students and swamiji the working of telescope, about objects in night sky, constellations and planets. There were about 60-75 students.

Observation of moon, saturn, mars, few stars and binary stars were made.

we had a break for prayer and dinner, after which we had two movies about

1. stars and  life

2. search for aliens

Questions - Answer session lasted for more than 45 min and was very interactive.  Discussion on life of stars, human life, asteriods, blackholes, constellations and many more.

Overall, BAS was done with yet another fantastic outreach for school/college students and the response from students keep us motivating as always.
